Detailed itinerary
Day 1: Transfer to Murchison falls
The guide will pick you early from your hotel and after a short brief set off for Murchison falls national park. Drive through the flat lands of Nakasongola plains before a breakfast stop at Kabalega diner. Proceed to Murchison falls national park through Masindi. We will have lunch before embarking on the afternoon boat cruise at Paraa. This boat cruise will take us to the bottom of the Murchison Falls. This cruise offers a relaxing afternoon as you enjoy the views of the wildlife that come to drink by the river and those that call the river home. Elephants, water bucks, kobs and buffalo can be seen as they come to quench their thirst. Hippos and crocodiles can be spotted by the river banks and in water. At the bottom of the falls, we will enjoy the beautiful view of the Murchison falls. Plenty of bird species like the African fish eagle, king fisher, Egyptian geese can be seen on this boat cruise. The cruise takes 3 hours.
After the boat cruise, we will retire to the lodge for the evening.
Day 2: Game drive, visit the Murchison falls and return to Kampala.
After an early breakfast, we will check out of the lodge and head out for a morning game drive. On this game drive, we will be amazed at the wildlife that Murchison falls has to offer. Elephants, giraffes, lions, leopards, kobs, hippos, buffalo, hyenas, jackals, water bucks, oribi and many more wildlife can be seen on his morning game drive. Birds like African vultures, bald eagles, African fish eagles, shoe bill, and many more can be seen during this drive. This game drive will last up to 4 hours. We will cross the Nile at Paraa and head towards the top of the falls.
At the top of the falls, the Nile id forced in between 2 rocks 7 meters apart and falls 47 meters into the Albert Nile. This creates a great roar and intensity that creates a spray more than 100 meters high. An ever present rainbow can be seen when the sun is out. We will have a lunch picnic and later drive out of the park. We will return to Kampala and arrive later in the evening. The guide will drop you at your hotel.
